The service itself won’t always be easy…It’s through that struggle, the fact that it’s hard, that the difference is made. Not just for others, but for yourself.

Points of Light Speech at Texas A&M University
It was Obama's first Service Nation speech at Columbia that really made me think about national service outside of the military. The past couple of weeks have been a challenge to say the least, but I think President Obama's speech at Texas A&M today was really the kick in the pants that I needed. I'll be able to find another job (2 more interviews scheduled! woot woot!) so I won't have to move into the poor house and then I will be able to sleep a little easier and focus on the reason that I'm here. I'm pretty set on changing my site placement. (Really what is the point of volunteering about something that drains your bucket instead of filling it?) I am confident that the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place. So as long as Obama can continue giving a motivational call to service speech every so often, I think I can make it through. :)
